To assist with transportation and moving your equipment on site, RTS has various devices for climbing / descending stairs and even traversing rough or uneven terrain. Our goods handling teams are very experienced in off-loading, positioning and installation of technical, delicate, sensitive and outsize consignments.
RTS crews will maneuver product by hand, with standard equipment, or specialist handling equipment, for example specially constructed dolly's and cradles to ensure safe carriage between the vehicle and the site; this allows RTS staff to use safe lifting and manoeuvring techniques to minimise risk in transit.
RTS also have their own flight cases and protective covers in various dimensions to secure delicate equipment while on the move. They can also undergo client product training so that they can conduct commissioning tasks on site, removing the need for engineers to be in attendance.
High access. 
An existing client approached RTS with a need to deliver air conditioning equipment to a site in central London. The client needed the air conditioning units delivered to site and then lifted to the roof top of the building they were being fitted to. The location of the site meant that local traffic would be severely disrupted during the lift RTS was able to liaise with the local council and arrange for temporary diversion of the traffic. Further, disruption was reduced by scheduling installation over a weekend. RTS project managed from collection to delivery of the air conditioning units including dealing with the lift contractor, local authority and clients' engineers.
Deliver & Load. regular client approached RTS regarding a forthcoming rollout of computer storage equipment to multiple sites around the UK.
Special handling equipment. RTS spotted a potential health and safety issue with the proposed method of installing the units into their racks; there weight would require a team of 3 to safely install them. RTS were able to design an build a tool to allow a single person to lift and install the units, saving both cost and reducing risk.
